2010 Elite Selection Playoff: Week Ten

Now that teams are in the middle of their conference schedules, the cream is rising to the top.

Arkansas bested South Carolina. Texas A&M handed the Sooners their second loss. LSU edged out Alabama. And TCU dismantled the Utes on their home field. There were near misses as well. Iowa nearly lost to Indiana and Nebraska was almost upset by Iowa State. Now only Auburn, Boise State, Oregon, and TCU remain unbeaten.

Notre Dame remained at 65 in the AVR. The Irish strength of schedule jumped to 4th toughest in the country and Notre Dame grades out at number 39 in quality wins/losses (QWL), 72 in adjusted win percentage (AWP), 71 in margin of victory (MOV), and 54 in team performance ratio (TPR)—68 on offense, 37 on defense.

Future Irish opponent AVR ranks: Utah—14th, Army—60th, and USC—33rd.
